WEST Exhibitor: We will demonstrate the new IPG LightWELD hand held Laser Welder. The LightWELD will weld Aluminum, SS, Steel, Titanium, copper, and brass, using wire or no wire. Welding with a laser welder introduces way less heat into a part and almost no spatter, so clean up is very easy. Instead of expensive argon shield gas nitrogen shield gas can be used for aluminum, SS, and steel. Welding wire consumption is greatly reduced as the wire used is only the length of the weld itself. The LightWELDER will be demonstrated inside the new light tight LightSAFE welding enclosure specially designed to make LightWELDing safe, and can be located anywhere in a shop. The LightSAFE is movable on free stroke bearings and can be repositioned. Modular construction the LightSAFE can be expanded and added to in the future. Layouts include corner (2 walls), wall (3 walls), and island (4 walls) configuration. Optional Welding fume extraction from Nederman can be added, as well as Siegmund welding tables out of Europe. Financing is available with no money down and payments from 2 to 5 years. Training is included at Serra Laser where we operate a IPG Demo and Training center, conveniently located in Anaheim, California. If you have a special weldment you want to see laser welded let us know and we can schedule a personalized demo, either in person or on line. The LightWELDER includes a 12 month parts and labor warranty and service is available nationwide and locally thru IPG service engineers. In addition to LightWELDER and LightSAFE systems Serra Laser provides laser and waterjet cutting, including tube laser cutting and 5 axis laser cutting.
