Manufacturing in Nevada has grown significantly in the last five years, according to statewide data. The labor force has grown nearly 17 percent since the end of 2019 – notable because it came after the July 2016 opening of Tesla’s Gigafactory in Northern Nevada’s Storey County.
The California Energy Commission (CEC) recently approved a $1.9 billion plan to expedite the rollout of statewide electric vehicle (EV) charging networks and hydrogen refueling stations.
Construction 3D printing firm Mighty Buildings, together with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), and Habitat for Humanity, have been awarded a $5 million GFO-22-305 grant from the California Energy Commission.
The event will be co-located with the Smart Manufacturing Experience, hosted by SME and Women in Manufacturing, and will take place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh on June 4-5, 2024.
